Plushgun - Me. Me.

people are gonna start talking about me favoring bands from brooklyn. tuesday we featured il albanico in our farmers market post, yesterday we talked to Violent Bullshit, & now Plushgun's latests release is up as our album of the day. i swear its all a very strange coincedence. i swear. so far this week i've listened to all kinds of different stuff & today we stay on that course. Plushgun's Twitter describes them as an indie pop band. i've seen a couple sights refer them as electronic. like usual i could give zero fucks what they are considered. what really matters is, can i listen to an album without shitting myself. congratulations Plushgun, i didn't soil myself. no seriously i really enjoyed the album. i can see why some call it electronic-ish cause tracks like my favorite I Like It, but really its a pop album. its very upbeat. i can see a bunch of peeps jumping up and down with excitment at one of their shows. its a solid album. take a listen to my favorite and if you enjooy it go pick up Me. Me. now. if you don't like it keep it to your fucking selves cause no one here gives a fuck...oh yeah...

album of the day

Meiko - The Bright Side

yesterday i got almost thirty requests for a track called Stuck On You off of Meiko's album The Bright Side. i think Meiko might be catergorized as folk music? i actually had to ask marc the intern what people consider her. i'm not to sure this album can be called "folk" but, it's 2012 and everything seems to have the "folk" tag attached to it. the album itself started off on the wrong foot for me...the first track is the single with the video. usually this makes for a bad experience. was it horrible? no. the album itself is a bit catchy actually. is a collection of love songs? i think so...i mean the second track is called I'm In Love for gods sake. this album is definitely not made for me, but anyone that dug her self titled album will love this indeed. take a listen to Stuck On You below & if you enjoy it then you'll want to get the album....
